UNFPA/UNIC Sana’a: Youth Centres

UNFPA Yemen is helping to advance the agenda of youth, peace, and security in #Yemen in partnership with Youth Without Borders Organization for Development. These interventions aim to enhance the role of young people in decision-making and in creating safe spaces that help to nurture their capabilities. One such place is the Youth Centre in Taizz Governorate. The centre focuses on helping young people to build their skills in employment, leadership, entrepreneurship and peacebuilding. Individual and group psychological support sessions and mental health counseling are implemented. Sports activities are also provided which play an essential role in enhancing the mental health of young individuals benefiting from these youth centres.
