#IOMYemen: Bringing Health Care Closer to People in Need on Yemen’s West Cost

Millions of people across #Yemen have been affected by the conflict. Most suffer from a lack of basic services.

Only half of Yemen’s health facilities are fully functional.

Communities in remote, rural areas rarely have access to basic health medical care.

When people fell ill, they used to have to walk for hours in the heat to reach a health facility.

Last year, #IOM in collaboration with the authorities constructed and rehabilitated three health centers in the area bringing healthcare closer to those who need it.

The new health facility is powered by solar and other forms of renewable energy, and all waste materials are disposed of sustainably.
