Tamani Became a midwife to help prevent women in her village from dying during childbirth.
6 out of 10 births in Yemen take place without a skilled birth attendant.
Tamani was supported by UNFPA to set up a home clinic upon the completion of her studies.
Since Tamani opened her home clinic maternal and newborn deaths in her village have dropped drastically.
Midwives like Tamani work tirelessly to save lives across Yemen.
