Statement by the Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator for Yemen on the resumption of UNHAS flights to Sana'a

Yesterday, the Houthi de facto authorities (DFA) approved United Nations Humanitarian Air Service (UNHAS) flights for the month of February. The UN Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator for Yemen, Julien Harneis, notes that this will allow Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) personnel to enter and exit Sana’a which is necessary for providing humanitarian assistance for the millions of people in need in DFA-controlled areas.
